I found a bat lying on the ground, what should I do?
If you find a bat on the ground it should be considered ill or injured. Do not touch the bat. Instead cover the bat with a
jar or can. Gently slide a piece of cardboard under the bat, enclosing it in the container.
Place a secure lid on the container, and contact us as soon as possible.
What should I do if I've been biten by a bat?
If you've been bitten by a bat immediately wash the wound with soap and water, seek medical attention, and contact your
local health department.
