I am a Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife permitted wildlife rehabilitator specializing in bats. As such, I applied for and received a grant to build a bat infirmary. This special building was much appreciated when I received 10 baby bats in 2009. It was easy to do a 3 AM feeding without waking up my dogs and husband.
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has several web pages devoted to Washington State wildlife rehabilitators. If you are interested in possibly becoming a wildlife rehabilitator, please visit this link.
